Musée Miniature & Cinéma Lyon EN

Come on and discover the Museum of Miniature and Cinema in the heart of the Vieux Lyon (Lyon’s old town). Located close to the Saint-Jean Cathedral and below the Fourvière Basilica, the Museum brings together its founder two passions: Miniature Art and Special Effects Techniques !

Two Museums in one!
Unique in Europe

The innovative concept of this unique collection in Europe aims to pay tribute to the unheard-of but unrecognized talent of the artists working for the 7th Art. What better place to do it than in Lyon, the “birthplace of cinema”! 1000sqm dedicated to the cinema .  1000sqm dedicated to the cinema takes you down memory lane rediscovering mythical films from the 60s to the present day.

Unique in France, the main collection presents over 100 hyperreal miniature scenes on two stories. More than mere technical achievements, these creations are mirages of their own kind. Their outstanding realism revives one’s memories and exhales a distinct sense of nostalgia. The subtle lighting arrangement, the painstaking replication of old textures, the use of the same original materials, all contribute to the creation of a moving poetry that resonates with each new miniature panorama.
